Bio

Hailing from the small town of Moscow, PA, The Hazel Effect is a movement dedicated to healing and nostalgia. Combining elements of Atlanta Trap, Pop-Punk, and Storytelling, I aim to collectively enhance the quality of fans lives.

Born Jacob Tischler in Scranton, PA, I was 5 years old when I started playing melodies on my family’s piano. After years of interest in melody and cadences, I started pursuing choir and violin in grade-school. Later picking up interest in Ableton at the age of 16, I was pretty much hooked.

⠀⠀

Going on to attend production school in Los Angeles, CA (Icon Collective), I went through numerous changes and genres before finally arriving where I am now. Producing numerous beats a day by the end of schooling I created Designer Death but got tired of waiting on people to send vocals back. Tapping into all the songwriting I used to do when 16, I started recorded over my own fully-produced tracks. this is how The Hazel Effect was created.⠀⠀⠀

My music has been considered Emo-Trap, Ambient Trap and many other sub-genre’s. However, The Hazel Effect is ever-growing and i don’t really care to be tied to one specific genre but rather stay tied to the initial elements of healing and nostalgia.
